Life is still finding a way as Jurassic World Evolution 2 gets a new trailer and a release date. And, what’s better is that developers Frontier Developments and Universal Games are bringing more dino action to us this year. We’ve even got some lovely images and more game details to show you inside.

After the success of Jurassic World Evolution, Frontier have decided to follow in the film’s footsteps and move the park building simulator from the secluded Muertes Islands but to environments scattered across the globe. These new environments will play a role in how to approach managing the park and how the dinos will interact with each other.

In Jurassic World Evolution 2, there’s an original Campaign mode as well as expanded construction options, more customisation choices and an all-new Chaos Theory mode which allows a play through of ’what if’ scenarios from all five films in the Jurassic World franchise. Players could finally see John Hammond’s original vision of a working Jurassic Park and how that’d look with visitors on the island.

The campaign mode follows the events of the previous film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Claire Dearing (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard) and Dr. Ian Malcolm (voiced by Jeff Goldblum) are on hand to help lead the efforts of Department of Fish and Wildlife across the continental U.S. establishing new facilities across a range of locations in order to control, conserve and contain wild dinosaurs.

Speaking of Dinosaurs, there will be 75 monsters that have returned from extinction which includes both returning favourites and highly requested aquatic animals such as my favourite, the Mosasaurus. Through bioengineering, you’ll be able to customise dinosaurs with bold new colours and patterns and alter their genomes in a way Henry Wu would be proud of. With new dinosaurs come new paddocks to contain them, and there will be a number of new park enhancements to play with.

If following campaigns isn’t your thing, there is a sandbox mode that lets you have free reign over your park. A challenge mode where missions are set to complete in the quickest time possible. By preordering the game, both challenge and sandbox modes with three vehicle skins bearing the iconic jungle-green InGen livery from Lost World: Jurassic Park.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 releases on 9th November across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
