Capcom have announced Ghost ‘N Goblins Resurrection for the Nintendo Switch. The return to the hard-as-nails platformer series after a 10 year break is welcome and it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch on 25th February.

The arcade adventure game is a new entry into the series and not a remake. While it will try to appeal to all types of gamers, Capcom have said there will be a degree of challenge that the game is known for. The official synopsis can be found below the trailer.

Paying homage to Ghosts ‘n Goblins and Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, the latest entry combines the franchise’s action platforming gameplay with storybook-like graphics and challenging new obstacles. The new entry will once again follow the valiant knight Arthur as he runs, jumps and battles his way through eerie stages set in the Demon Realm, a demonic fantasy world. Arthur must overcome countless ghoulish foes on his quest to rescue the princess from the treacherous grasp of the Demon Lord. Brave knights will need to proceed with extreme caution as terrifying dangers await, including familiar enemies like Zombie, Skeleton Murderer, Pigman and Red Arremer.

The art style might divide some people, but we think the animation and the way Arthur moves (and dies), reminds us of the good uSnes

Ghosts ‘N Goblins Resurrection launches on Nintendo Switch 23rd February. At the time of the announcement, Capcom has advised this is a digital only release for $30/£25.
