Rayman Legends has been leaked online via a trailer that also shows the functionality of the upcoming Wii U. It highlights the console’s graphics, touch-screen tablet and Near Field Communication capabilities.

The two minute long trailer, boasts the Wii U game-play hasĀ “epic rendering power”. It will surely match the power of the PS3 and Xbox 360.

The console’s tablet can be used as the controller and as a separate screen in multiplayer scenarios. On-screen platforms can be varied at the touch of a screen.

The NFC compatibility will comply with Ubisoft toys that feature including hearts that can be placed on the tablets. Ezio is also rumoured to be making an appearance.

The 2D platformer will feature online gameplay and community can be used in the Rayman title.

Ubisoft have been left to remove the video from YouTube and Michel Ancel of Montpellier Studio insists the trailer is not a final representation of the game or the Wii U.

He released a statement:

“An internal video showing images of Rayman Origins’ sequel has leaked over the Internet. This video was intended as a purely internal demonstrative video, and in NO way represents the final game, the final console or their features. This video was destined for internal production teams who often create game prototypes with work in progress development kits. Ubisoft confirms the development of Rayman Legends handled by Michel Ancel and his team in Montpellier.”
