Lucasarts may have shut it’s doors back with Disney purchased parent company Lucasfilm back in 2012, but it appears Disney have rebranded and relaunched the studio, as well as announcing its first game… and it’s not a Star Wars game!

From Bethesda’s official Twitter account they’ve posted a short video announcing a new Indiana Jones video game is currently in development. It appears that Wolfenstein developer Machine Games is heading up the project with Lucasfilm Games acting as an overseer of the property. We’ve embedded the video below.

As seems to be the standard with Bethesda, this game has been announced at the very early stages of development so don’t expect any more information for a while. All we know is that Machine Games have a track record of providing good Nazi killing games and Disney do not want to mess up their franchises.

We don’t know when Indiana Jones will release, nor on what platform – with Bethesda currently being purchased by Microsoft, it could be an Xbox exclusive. But we will keep an eye on things and provide more information as soon as we know!
