PlayStation 3 players will have to wait for the much anticipated Downloadable Content Extended Cut ending of Mass Effect 3. No reason has been given by either Sony or EA for this. The content was launched yesterday for Xbox 360 consoles and PlayStation 3s outside of Europe.

The ending will give further clarification on the ending of the trilogy through various cut scenes and cinematic sequences. What has also been found is that the ending also contains partial files for the up and coming add on content – Leviathan.

This could be hinting towards the fabled reaper Leviathan, which Bioware first hinted at in the first Mass Effect game.

The Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut content will be available on the PlayStation 3 from 4th July.
