New info for DMC – Devil May Cry

Capcom have announced a few more slivers of information regarding the “alternative” Dante we will be seeing in the latest instalment of the Devil May Cry series. Only changing the back story marginally, the rebel Dante is presented as more of a Robin Hood character than the demon hunter for hire as portrayed previously. We also have some nice images to look over that have been handed to us.

Growing up in various institutions and orphanages, Dante always knew he was not completely human. He was the son of the legendary Sparda who gifted Dante Rebellion – his sword of choice. This combined with Ebony & Ivory, his trusty pistols, Dante sets off to protect the “litte guys,” people he sees as victims of the of an unfair society.

DMC – Devil May Cry will be available in 2012 on PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360. For those who don’t like the new look Dante or haven’t sampled the original games, the HD collection containing the first three games will be available 3rd April.
