We’ve known the Wii U port of Super Mario 3D World has been coming for a little while now. At the time Nintendo announced a Switch exclusive add-on known as “Bowser’s Fury”. Today, we get the first look at how the campaign is shaping up… By the look of the trailer, pretty well.
Even without playing the video, you can see that Nintendo have taken the cute, cat filled world of the Wii U original and have added something darker. When the guitars kick in during the second half of the trailer, it seems more like a game of DOOM than Mario.
Partnering up with Mario is Bowser Jr. It seems his dad has gone out of control and he will stop at nothing, even teaming up with Bowser’s long time rival, to get him back to his parental controlling normal.
No other information seems to be available but since Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is due out on 12th February, there’s not long to wait.
Also launching on the 12th is this Mario themed Switch, complete with Red Joy Con and blue accessories. It’s about time the Switch got this kind of limited edition.
