Nintendo’s downloadable offerings update
Another increasingly Monday tradition is Nintendo UK telling us all what the latest downloadable content is for the DSi, 3DS and Wii. Of course, traditions are meant to be broken and next week this update might be noticably absent. Who can tell. However, it would be safe to assume that we would see some more games released given Nintendo’s loss predictions. Either way, this week there are three games, two demos and a 3D video to enjoy.
Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater – 3DS – eShop – FREE!
Take control of the legendary soldier Naked Snake in this Demo during a top secret covert mission deep into the Russian jungle, beautifully rendered in 3D. Use camouflage, cardboard boxes and skill to sneak behind your enemies and infiltrate the Soviets. Don’t worry if you are detected, simply choose from the raft of weaponry at Snakes disposal or use the close quarters combat to fight back.
Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 – 3DS – eShop – £3.60
Never has being bad been so good! Witness Wario’s world-famous debut as a playable character, in the first game to bear the Wario Land name. Unlike Mario, Wario has some tough moves at his disposal, like the famous body slam, and he can don different magic hats to turn him into Jet Wario, Bull Wario and even Dragon Wario.
GO Series: Undead Storm – 3DS, DSi – eShop/DSiWare – £1.80/200 DSi Points
Play solo or team up with friends to take on the zombie hordes in a non-stop action game full of firepower. After a meteorite strike, the undead have taken over the city. Choose from four characters and face the zombies in a number of locations including a hospital, a chemical plant and the downtown area to discover the terrifying truth behind the undead epidemic.
Successfully Learning Mathematics Year 4 – 3DS/DSi – eShop/DSiWare – £4.50/500 DSi Points
In Successfully Learning: Mathematics, Year 4, you will solve exciting maths problems with the help of the little vampire Freddy who offers motivation and tips. All problems are based on the current curriculum for maths and you can play in six European languages.
Aya and the Cubes of Light – Wii – Virtual Console – FREE!
In this demo you play Aya, the daughter of the Cube Corporation. Teleport onto the Cubes to collect the Energy Packs to get the Cube engines working again. It’s not that easy to find your way around; you’ll have to think outside the box and mustn’t get disorientated, even when you’re upside down in this gravity defying puzzle platformer.
Not forgetting you can see the second part of the Kirby: Right Back at Ya anime, the next part of the Circus 3D and a trailer for the remastered Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menance in 3D, not that it’s very 3D on the big screen, via the Nintendo Video app.
