Due to be released on 2nd February, Outriders: a new IP from People Can Fly (Gears of War Judgment, Bulletstorm) has been delayed till the 1st April to give the game more time to tidy up those last touches. While disappointing, a demo will be released on the 25th February to give gamers a taste of the game.

The demo for Outriders will feature both Solo and Co-op modes for the first few hours of the game along with all the ability to play all four classes. Saved progress will be moved to the full version when it launches.

Here’s the full statement from the team:

Outriders is billed as a third person, futuristic roll playing shooter. Mankind is caught in a war for a desolate land and the outlook is bleak. It’s up to your Outrider to use their powers from the four available classes to sort out this war.

Based on their previous games, the developers “People Can Fly” really do have the over the top action down and it looks like they are having fun building this new IP. As touched upon above, the game will feature both a single player campaign as well as co-op play.

The game is being published by Square Enix and they’ve already confirmed that PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will be upgraded free of charge should you get the latest generation hardware.

Outriders is now due out on 1st April 2021 for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X|S & PC.
