The teams over at developers Robotality and publishers Chucklefish have announced that their promising strategy-RPG Pathway is coming to Nintendo Switch later in the month. What’s better is that we have a new trailer showing how we’ll be blowing up Nazis on the go, as well as a launch offer for those who’d like to preorder the game.

Pathway is set in 1936, a few years before the outbreak of World War II. Rumours of secret excavations, mysterious artefacts, and gruesome occult rituals are rife. Assembling a team of adventurers, players will have to journey through various terrains in this classic strategy-RPG set up.

Featuring 5 different campaigns of varying difficulty, each attempt generating a new web of events whilst encountering hand-crafted story events. Pathway looks to give players the opportunity to stick to the mission or go off book and rescue additional villagers throughout each level.

We do love our strategy-RPGs at VGamingNews and Pathway is shaping up to be a good looking experience. There are 16 unlockable characters, each has their own set of skills and quirks but we’re promised it’ll take patience to master each character. This is important as each of the unlockable characters can effect how the story encounters play out.

The game is already available on PC through the usual channels, however the Switch version includes the recent Adventurer’s Wanted expansion as well as the hardcore mode included in the cost. Switch players are also in for a treat with special narrative events and new story elements to explore, as well as all-new tactics and abilities, a new loot system, new combat arenas, with new AI and game balancing. No wonder the developers are confident this is the best way to experience Pathway!

Pathway will be available on the Nintendo Switch on 27th May. It will retail for £12.99, however if you snag it early you can knock 20% off this price.
