Pikmin 3 confirmed at E3

Further to our Super Mario Wii U  news yesterday, VGamingNews have found out that Pikmin 3 – the long awaited return of those cute little plant things, will make an appearance at this years E3 in June. Miyamoto himself is heading the project

The game makes the second confirmed first party Wii U title for the console. As well as shiggsy’s involvement in this and Luigi’s Mansion 2, the Nintendo legend is also training his army of replacements for when he decides to take a back seat or retire.

In a statement, Miyamoto expressed that people who have played the past two titles should enjoy this new installment. The last Pikmin game was on the Nintendo GameCube back in 2004.
