Profits down for Capcom

Today, Capcom have announced low revenue numbers despite a retail boost created by Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

Revenues for the fiscal year were down 16 per cent at $1.02bn for the year ending March 31st. Profits have fallen 13 per cent to $84.2m.

Operation Raccoon City made it in Capcom’s top 25 best-selling titles of all time. Selling 1.7m units across Europe and the US aswell as 250,000+ it sold in Japan. However, Street Fighter X Tekken failed to impress at just 1.4m.

Capcom hopes this fiscal year it will average 27.9 percent more and profits to reach 45.7 per cent.
