Sony have released the multiplayer details for Resistance: Burning Skies on the PlayStation Vita. Features include an eight player online gaming experience through WiFi. They also range from smaller 2 Vs 2 battles up to the 4 on 4. A trailer to show off what the game can do has also been released.

As well as the death matches, Resistance also offers Party with Friends, an option which allows people on your friend list to play with you. It also allows voice chat over the WiFi connection. It implements a XP and ranking system much like Call Of Duty – experience is gained for the number of kills, wins etc.

This XP can be spent on upgrading & modifying weapons to give you a little extra firepower. However, if you are killed in battle the enemy can pick up your gun and kill you with it. Modes announced for the game are Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and a unannounced mode that is due to be revealed next week.

Resistance: Burning Skies will be released on the PlayStation Vita on 30 May.
