Sega Brings Yakuza Spin-off Judgment To Xbox Series X|S & PS5 In April

Hot on the heels of last week’s release of Yakuza 3, 4 & 5 on Xbox Game Pass, Sega & Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced they have remastered the excellent spin-off “Judgment” and are bringing it to their latest generation of consoles on 23rd April. They’ve also slipped in that a PS5 version will also be available.
Originally released as a PlayStation 4 exclusive in 2019, Judgment takes a side step of Kiryu’s story and focuses on Takayuki Yagami, a lawyer turned private investigator who is looking at solving a spate of grizzly murders taking place in and around Kamurocho, Tokyo.

The game has all the hallmarks of the Yakuza series, with flowing combat, countless side missions and a lengthy plot. The update includes the base game and all previous DLC. Judgment will also boost higher visuals and a silky smooth 60 frames per second gameplay.
This will be the first time the game is available on Microsoft’s console and means that only missing Yakuza 6: Song of Life to complete the set. Luckily, this is scheduled to come out this year.
For PlayStation 4 owners, we’re unsure if there is a cost to upgrade, Sega seemed really quiet on this front. We’d assume that because this has been repacked with the DLC, to expect some cost to take advantage of the new hardware. We’ve asked Sega for clarification.
Judgment comes to Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 on 23rd April.
