The game is a hybrid between both series and both CAPCOM & Namco-Bandai have been busy redesigning the combat system. Based on the Street Fighter IV model, the game has been tweaked to ramain faithful to both franchises. Control systems are available from either Street Fighter or Tekken, again making sure both sets of fans are kept happy.
Both trailers are clearly references to previous titles, the first being Street Fighter and the latter being Tekken. From what can be seen, or more what is shown is that this will “tear” up the formulas that the previous games have brought and marry them together. For Street Fighter & Tekken fans, it is an exciting time.
Street Fighter X Tekken will be due for release in 2012.
