Super Mario 4?

Nintendo have registered supermario4.com it has emerged. While it is unknown if this will be the title to the 2D platformer Nintendo announced for the 3DS last year or a new, unannounced Wii U title it is an interesting development.

While Nintendo are keeping tight lipped about the domain, if the domain is entered into the URL bar, it redirects to a Nintendo splash page. This could be a decoy as it is not uncommon to throw fans off with fake domain names. The one that springs to mind is Harry Potter fans looking out for the registered domain names for the last Harry Potter book – 20 or so were registered to keep everyone guessing.
