Tails of Iron Gets Massive Free Update

Odd Bug Studio, the developers of Tails of Iron have announced a content update in the form of Bloody Whiskers. The content is going live today, and will be available to all players at no extra cost. The DLC will include an expanded story, new boss fights, a couple of new difficulty modes and more equipment to wrap your tails around.

The Tails of Iron Bloody Whiskers DLC sees Redgi battle to defeat the most lethal warriors from across the land to claim the key to the old King’s room and discover the heinous secret that lurks within.

The update adds:

• 2 new difficulty modes-
  • Hard mode, “Bloody Whiskers”
  • Easy mode, “Fairy Tail”
• Extended main story narrative around a new tournament pitching the realms greatest heroes against each other
• 5 new boss fights
• 5 new outfits
• 5 new weapon skins
• 2 new rooms to explore, one of which was that locked door we couldn’t do anything with

Set in a grim land plagued by war, Tails of Iron is a hand-drawn RPG Adventure with punishingly brutal combat. As Redgi, heir to the Rat Throne, you must restore your broken Kingdom by banishing the merciless Frog Clan and their ferocious leader, Greenwart.

Our Rob rather enjoyed Tails of Iron when he played the Switch version saying:

The tightly focused encounter design, meaty combat and enjoyable world-building and storytelling with adorable rodents who think they’re people, I didn’t find much not to like. The difficulty may be a turn-off for some, but the game keeps to the core soulslike tenet of playing fair and making sure that when you die (and you will die), you’ll know what you did wrong to bring it about.
