Bungie have released an in-depth look at the up and coming Witch Queen Expansion for Destiny 2, in which we get a look at Savathûn’s Throne World. This world swamped in a green hue appears to change and hide a lot of secrets for Guardians to uncover when the expansion releases on 22nd February. Let’s take a look at what to expect.

In Destiny 2: The Witch Queen expansions, face enemies that are unlike anything encountered before, with hive Guardians and Ghosts known as Lucent Brood. The expansion aims to shine a light on the truth behind Savathûn, the Witch Queen. Savathûn’s Throne World is an entirely new area and will face the aforementioned Brood – Hive enemies who are infused with the same Light that powers Guardians.

To counter the considerable threats, weapons will now be able to be forged with a brand-new weapon crafting feature, and along with the Glaive, the first melee weapon that can be used in first person, there are a lot of additions to the Shooter-MMO to look forward too. Don’t forget what’s currently happening in game:

Season of the Lost – Destiny 2’s current Season is coming to a close with events that lead directly into the launch of The Witch Queen.

Bungie 30th Anniversary – Celebrating three decades of gaming with an event that pays homage to the adventures from both entries into the series. The Anniversary includes a new dungeon, the return of the Gjallarhorn Exotic Rocket Launcher, new armour sets, and an arsenal of weapons, gear, and cosmetics inspired by Bungie’s past.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen arrives on 22nd February on all platforms. The base Destiny 2 is free to play for players who’ve yet to enter into the battle.
