With the recent depression that the games industry has suffered recently with the financial troubles of GAME and Gamestation, also, developers complaning about poor sales – there is some silver lining. THQ are due to announce that their sales have exceeded expectations for Q4.
The publisher expects sales of up to $160-170 million, instead of the $130-150m they forecast.
The boost in sales has been accredited to the healthy sales figures of Saints Row: The Third. Even the DLC for the title has sold well.
Although all the credit doesn’t go to Saints, it has also been attributed to the ‘slightly higher than expected’ sales of UFC Undisputed.
The company will announce figures for Q4 on May 15th.
