UK Sales Charts Week Ending 10th April 2021
As things start to settle down after the Easter bank holidays, we’re back on a Monday with the latest sales figures for boxed video games sold in the UK. This week seems quiet with no new releases hitting the charts but we do have a change at the top.
That’s right, after a few weeks of being resigned to the lower ranks of the top 5, Tom Nook and co have had a resurgence and Animal Crossing: New Horizons is back in the number 1 position. Just in time for the series’ 20th anniversary later in the week. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Minecraft (Switch version) also see jumps, owing to pack-in deals across the market. Monster Hunter Rise remains in the top 10 and GTA V continues to somehow sell copies.
Today (12th) sees the reopening of non-essential retail so it’ll be interesting to see what gamers pick up and how this will effect next week’s charts.
