As well as the formal announcement of the WiiU Game Pad, Nintendo have taken the decision to release a pro version to appeal to the more hardcore market. The controller is a traditional controller with no touchscreen.

Looking like a rudimentary Xbox 360 controller, the pro controller features two bumper buttons and two triggers on the back of the controller. The analogue sticks are placed to be easily accessible for racing and shooting games.

The face buttons have been moved to a lower and more central location to provide quick access during intense action games. The controller, like its touchscreen brother is wireless with a rechargeable battery. It also provides a solution to the one touchscreen controller per console issue but unfortunately is not a TV remote.
