Dorfromantik will be getting a physical release thanks to Super Rare Games. The hexagonal city-builder was originally released for the PC in 2021 before being ported over to the Nintendo Switch a year later and today, players will get a chance to add the completed game to their gaming shelves with SRG’s latest numbered release.

Developed and published by Toukana Interactive, Dorfromantik puts a spin on the usual building games by only having a set number of spaces in which to place the hexagonal blocks. Once placed, these cannot be changed without having to restart the entire level. As gamers expand the landscape, they can advance into new, colourful biomes and discover pre-placed game objects that give you long-term tasks as they look to unlock more biomes and expand their islands into a relaxing paradise.

Dorfromantik was well received on it’s release. Even our Drew was pleased with the experience, stating in his 8/10 review: “Dorfromantik is a highly addictive puzzle game that rewards patience and attention to detail whilst also offering a laid-back experience; the challenges are there for the tackling, but only if you want to take them on.”

Super Rare Games are producing the physical release of Dorfromantik with 4000 copies being made available. Along with the game, which is expected to ship in the next few months, players can expect a colour manual as well as a nice pack of trading cards to add to their collection.

Dorfromantik is out now for PC and Switch. If you want to purchase a physical copy of the Switch version, you can do so from the Super Rare Games website (opens in a new tab).
