Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate given a release date
Capcom announced that Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be simultaneously releasing on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS from 22nd March by either physical or digital copies for either game. A free playable demo on both systems will be available on 21st February.
Capcom have also confirmed that the Wii U game will fully support the voice chat functionality through the Gamepad’s microphone, so no separate headset will be required while hunting monsters. The Wii U version is an update of Monster Hunter Tri for the Nintendo Wii and as well as having High Definition graphics gives over 200 quests and new monsters.
You will also be able to link up both versions to quest with friends online for up to 4 players or locally using one Wii U console and up to 3 handhelds. During the single player quest, you will be able to transfer your Wii U save file to the 3DS to carry on playing even if you aren’t near your TV.
Additionally, the servers for Monster Hunter Tri will be turned off with the release of the Ultimate edition.
A batch of new images from both games, as well as the trailer above, can be found below. Look out for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on the Nintendo Wii U & 3DS on 22nd March.
