My Time At Evershine Announced – Coming to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2
Pathea Games has announced the third entry in the My Time series with My Time At Evershine, with the Chinese developers looking to bring the cozy simulator to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2 (whatever that ends up being called). Following on from My Time at Sandrock and My Time At Portia, My Time at Evershine is looking to bring together life simulation and RPG fans with an ambitious title that builds on the success of its predecessors.
The life sim/RPG will focus on a deep campaign that is available in single or co-op play. Players are thrust into a brand-new settlement on the fringes of the Free Cities, which is facing an imposing Duvos Empire. Players are tasked to recruit settlers, build infrastructure, tame the wilds and eventually, lead the people to create a new idyllic stronghold. Unlike previous games in the franchise, My Time At Evershine will allow gamers to delegate the menial tasks while they play Governor, looking after the townsfolk.
No release date has been set as My Time At Evershine is currently in early development and will be partly funded through Kickstarter which is set to go live on 24 September. The reasoning for this is best explained through Creative Director of the My Time series at Pathea, Zifei Wu.
My Time at Sandrock cost a lot, like $12-million-a-lot, and still counting, we expect Evershine’s budget to be somewhere in the ballpark as well. Having extra funding at this early stage of development allows us to plan for bigger and better features, and allows the community to give us direct feedback while we’re still deciding key elements of the game’s design and execution.
What’s interesting is that My Time At Evershine is targeting Nintendo’s next console, whatever that may be. In the information we’ve been given, there is no mention of the Nintendo Switch at all. This suggests that Pathea will need some time to make sure the game is ready for release.
My Time At Evershine is currently in development.
