Rocksteady have dropped a new trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League that showcases exactly which members of the Justice League are targets for Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark and Captain Boomerang. We also get a tasty look at how the game’s combat is shaping up along with a retro-inspired preorder bonus.

Due for release on 2nd February 2024, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is Rocksteady’s next entry in their ‘Arkhamverse’ series that started with Batman Arkham Asylum in 2009. The aim of the game is in the title, players assume the role of four Suicide Squad members who have to track down a compromised Justice League and stop them from destroying Metropolis, and the world. In the trailer below we see get a hint about how this will be involved.

The big scale third person shooter is certainly one of Rocksteady’s more ambitious titles and from the look of what we’ve seen so far, it looks to be a bigger game than Arkham Knight. The game itself is set five years after the events of the last Batman game and players can expect to see nods to Batman’s solo adventures. The game also marks the last performance of the legendary Kevin Conroy, who managed to record all of his lines before his passing in 2022.

With there being four members to chose from, players will be happy to note that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League can be tackled either solo or in online co-op with up to three others. Those who chose to ride solo can swap between each member so you can fully utilise all the skills of the team without having to worry about relying on other gamers.

Players who preorder Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be treated to costumes based on each member’s first appearance in the DC comics. Harley will be suited in her harlequin get up, Captain Boomerang sports a rather fetching blue number, Deadshot looks more like a cyborg in his silver and red get up, and King Shark has what looks to be a leather swimsuit with a very pronounced bulge.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be releasing for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S on 2nd February 2024.
