Konami have today announced the next game in the popular PES series. The game is due out in the Autumn on all the home consoles, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. A PSP and oddly enough a PlayStation 2 version will be available as well. Konami have been working closely with fans of the series to provide the most real and entertaining entry in the series to date. Read On
The yearly installment of Fifa has been announced by EA today. The game is due out as normal in Q3 this year. FIFA 12 improves on previous installments including a new Player Impact Engine, a physics engine built to deliver real-world physicality in every interaction on the pitch. Challenging for the ball, winning possession, and testing each other physically have all been improved. Players feel more resilient, push and pull during the fight for possession, and recover from light challenges more easily. Read On
PQube today announced that a new puzzle game will be released on the Nintendo DS on the 10th June – Emily the Strange “Strangerous”, which features over 60 puzzles and ranges 6 chapters. With more than 50 hours of puzzles and riddles to navigate through and caters heavily to the female audience.
The world’s most famous detective is to be further immortalised, from the dirty streets of Whitechapel to the notorious Newgate prison, Sherlock Holmes will soon be gracing the presence of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. SEGA have today released 9 new screenshots and a teaser trailer for the up-and-coming cooperative shoot ’em up Renegade Ops. The game is coming to the PSN and Xbox Arcade this summer and promises to be an action packed, explosive adventure that can be enjoyed in either single or multiplayer modes. Read On

Atari are bringing the classic 1989 RPG “Warlords” to the screens of 21st Century gamers on the Xbox360 Live & PlayStation Network services this summer. The game will support one to four players as they battle to defend their castles from an onslaught of minions and a nasty fire-breathing dragon. To do this players will have to use a massive shield which is maneuvered around the castle walls to deflect attacks from fireballs, while also strategically planning the next moves of their armies. Rotastic is a new 2D Puzzle game developed by Dancing Dots Studios coming soon to the Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network. Rotastic is a one-button gameplay mechanic that’s both fun and accessible for all types of players. Navigating each course is quite simple – press any button to hook your rope to the nearest anchor point, spin around, gather momentum and release the button to fly from point to point.
The first images and informaton of a new RPG title being developed by Cyanide studios have emerged today. The game is entitled Of Orcs and Men. This RPG will see a release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well as making a PC appearance. Of Orcs and Men takes the role of an Orc soldier from the legendary legion of Bloodjaws, a league of warriors deeply involved in the war opposing the Orcs and Goblins on one side to their persecutors, Humankind. News of Sonic Generations has been coming thick and fast over the last two weeks or so and we at VGN are very excited by this. Sonic Generations promises to mix the time old 2-D style of gameplay with the 3D elements of recent games. This is to celebrate the Hedgehog’s 20th birthday.
